If you would like to cancel a scheduled appointment on Future Directions, a refund may or may not be available, as per our cancellation policy:
- 100% refund if you cancel at least 48 hours in advance of the start time of the appointment
- 50% refund if you cancel 24 – 48 hours in advance
- Non-Refundable if you book for the same day or cancel within 24 hours of the appointment
Yes, in all cases refunds will be provided should a scheduled appointment be cancelled by one of our Education Consultants.
Scheduling & Communication
Our Counsellors set their own availability, and this will vary from Counsellor to Counsellor. In general, you will be able to book an appointment with a Consultant mornings, afternoons, or evenings Monday through Saturday.

Your personalized Guidance Program may require several sessions over a period depending on what you are trying to accomplish. For example, preparing applications for Post-Secondary Schools or perhaps developing a Career Path.
You and your Education Consultant may choose to schedule these sessions in advance.
Yes, we encourage them to do so. Your Future Directions Education Consultant will discuss with you or your parent/guardian the preferred method to do this.
Yes of course! Our system can accommodate multiple individuals attending the same session. Just tell your Future Directions Education Consultant who will invite them to the session.
Support

Privacy & Security
Students under 18 years of age require parental/legal guardian permissions to meet with any of our Education Consultants or Intake Counsellors. Parental Permission Forms will be provided through our system and must be signed and submitted prior to scheduling an appointment.
Yes, your personal information is completely private. We take confidentiality very seriously. When you use our services, your session is protected by a comprehensive security infrastructure and stringent data policies. You also always retain complete control of your personal information.

Absolutely, any documentation you receive from us may be shared by you with whomever you see fit. We ourselves, will NOT share any information related to your Consulting Sessions directly with another individual as stated in our Privacy Policy.
About Future Directions
Guidance Counsellors in our public and private school systems are increasingly stretched for multiple reasons out of their control.
The student to counsellor ratios in some schools are reaching as high as 800:1.
Parents/Guardians and Students require our services:
- Whenever an experienced Guidance Counsellor is required during the student’s educational journey to supplement Guidance Services offered through your school system – public or private.
- When a neutral opinion or a fresh new perspective is desired.
- When a Parent/Guardian would like to be more engaged in the Guidance process.
- When you just need some simple and quick help.
Future Directions is for both groups. We are here to enable student success throughout their educational journey, from elementary to secondary school and all the way through to post-secondary and beyond. We also recognize that Parents/Guardians have questions about their students’ experience or they wish to take a more active role in their students’ educational journey.
Future Directions is a Private Education Consulting service for students and Parents/Guardians and is not affiliated with School Boards or individual schools unless contracted to supplement existing Guidance Services.
